NeoMenlo supports logging in and registering with OpenID.

For those who do not already know about OpenID's, an OpenID is "A single digital identity" that can be used accross the internet. This means that you can login to any website that supports OpenID with just one ID.

You don't have to remember which username and what password goes where. It makes logging in more convenient because you'll always have the same "username" on all websites in the form of your OpenID url. You'll never have to remember which password goes where because you only log into the site that provides your OpenID.It even make registration for new websites easier.

There are quite a few supporters already. A few websites that accept OpenID's currently Sourceforge.net, Livejournal, and Jabber.org. That list may not be large, but it is a very new technology and is rapidly growing. Also, they are popping up quickly and they're all so new not all of them may be listed. Many of them are Drupal powered sites, like this one.

The easiest way to know if the website supports OpenIDs is to look for the standard OpenID icon ().

Get Started Using OpenID

What you need to start using OpenID here and everywhere else is to have an account with an OpenID provider. There is a good chance that you already have an OpenID, and just didn't know it.

You already have one if you have an account at: Yahoo, LiveJournal, Technorati, Wikitravel, Vox, and AOL/AIM (Experimental).

If you do not have one or would like a different one, a popular and feature rich provider is Verisign PIP, which also provides a useful Firefox extension to make the usage easier and more secure.
