Since you retain ownership of the invention, you can make a substantial amount of money. Unfortunately, this cannot be guaranteed.
There is a possibility that the idea will not get enough attention. You will likely get more help from others as you help others more.
There is also a possibility of theft, which is explained more thoroughly in the "Can My Ideas Be Stolen?" section.
